Peace and Reunification of Korean Peninsula

Values for peace in every Religion remain the same. Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth. Share your smile with the world. It’s a symbol of friendship and peace. Happiness is that what you think, what you say, and what you do in peace.

The citizens of a country feel safe, secure and can prosper only if a peaceful environment is maintained. In a country, Peace is a term that most commonly refers to an absence of aggression, violence or hostility. Peace isn’t the absence of violence but rather the presence of justice. In a society, peace happens when different desires are in one agreement.

Peace and harmony are the building blocks of any society. Only if there is peace and harmony in the country would there be growth and development. Peace and harmony is very important for the smooth functioning of any society. Secularism Promotes Peace and Harmony. Peace and harmony is a basic prerequisite. Peace and harmony can bring a peaceful and stable order to society, and they are a necessary condition for the survival and development of mankind.

People all over the world had thought that with advancement in science, in medicine and education, there would be a peaceful revolution in all countries. It was thought that the big powers, having seen the destructiveness of nuclear and other weapons, would try to resolve their differences in a peaceful manner and the whole world would devote its energies to reform and change to provide a better life and ensure peace to the people. Unfortunately that has not happened rather oppression, aggression, war has engulfed the World. People need to get out of that and that’s why peace initiative is necessarily required.

Religious culture epitomizes the achievement of culture and wisdom of mankind, and all the major religions regard selfless great love as their fundamental tenet. May the leaders of all religions make a concerted effort to transcend the limits of religions and religious sects, jointly shoulder the moral obligation of concern for the world and concern for mankind, and guide and prompt all the human beings to join hands to ultimately realize peace and harmony.

It’s not enough to stand around asking if world peace will ever happen because that won’t do anything. Actions speak louder than any words. If everyone starts living the peaceful, loving way, things will change. But someone has to start and lead by example. Mahatma Gandhi once said “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”We can’t rely on anyone else to do this. We have to do these ourselves.

Acceptance, compassion, and tolerance are the foundation of peace. Mahatma Gandhi showed that peace ends suffering and oppression, not by warring against an enemy but by bearing witness to wrongs and allowing sympathy. Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa & Martin Luther King lived different aspects of peace, which was proven to be a viable way to achieve great things. Man Hee Lee and as Organization HWPL initiative through DPCW to strengthen its endeavour regarding achieving peace among mankind in the Universe.

Peace is that what ensures everyone’s right in the world. When everyone around us in family, friend circle and neighbourhood is happy, eager to love, accept, relate and share mutual trust and respect for people around us in perspective of Community, Country & World. This is what peace is.

The peace and harmony of a country is disrupted many a times owing to various factors. Factors Impact Peace and Harmony are; Terrorism, Religion, Political Motives, Reservation System, State issues, inflation, Poverty & unemployment. Terrorism is another factor that hampers the peaceful living of the people.

We all are so engrossed in our busy lifestyles and yet want our lives to be peaceful. We expect that peace to be omnipresent but what we need to realize is the fact that if we want peace, we have to live peacefully, love everyone, forgive & forget. We must learn from history best deeds happened in the World.

There is need of unity and of commitment not to a party, not to a particular person but to the globe as a whole. At this time, it is necessary that we should cultivate peace attitude throughout the World. No doubt the world is moving more towards co-operation and understanding but some of the problems are threatening peace in the world.

Now the question is how to reunify communities, territories or peninsula ?

First, we need to understand what reunification is ? Answer is simple, restoration of political, social & economical unity to a place or group or country, especially a divided territory or peninsula.

Let’s talk about Korean peninsula. Is it possible to reunify ? Yes, possible. If we walk through passed history, we may learn that lot of unification or reunification proposal produced among parties, territories and countries. From 14th to 21st Century maximum proposals were successful. In near past 20th century has earned most successful result in the perspective of reunification.

UK, UAE, Australia, Romania, West Indies, Tanzania, Vietnam & notably Germany are the best example to us. Very latest in 21st Century Russia and Crimea reunified.

How Countries or Territories reunified, it is nothing but through a social movement. Social movement creates pressure to politician who dominates or run Government. Politician may not be aware about reunification because they could have other target or self interest which hampers their desire. Social & political pressure Group may enhance movement to one issue-reunification.

For reunification, peace need to be prevailed in territory or country in the perspective of Social and political activity. To achieve target youth force is the only alternative. Every movement in the World was successful or did pull desired output when youth power was motivated, united and rightly leaded. Same formula may be highly applicable in case of Korean Peninsula and HWPL may lead it.

HWPL & its Chairman Mr. Man Hee Lee have taken the right initiative to fostering peace in the World. DPCW no doubt is the correct Resolution which can motivate for World peace in conjunction with UN throughout the World. By laws of DPCW is very much pragmatic and useful to promote peace movement & ensure peace prevailing Society, community or territory.

For the first time I did attend 4th Anniversary of the WARP Summit on September 17-19, 2018 in Incheon, South Korea. I have been working with HWPL since 2014 as peace campaigner but fortunately this year only I could make my voyage to HWPL Peace summit. Inclusion of International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) & International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) has been a good initiative too. Role of youth and women is important to achieve goal for peace. As a Journalist I was fortunate to attend number of sessions which enrich me with a numerous delight and lesson.

It was quite thrilling to me to be able to shake Mr. Man Hee Lee’s hand. A soft hand though but very tougher in presentation, action, activities and target.

He speaks Korean. For shake of translation provided I was accomplished and encouraged understanding his clarion call for peace. Such Peace initiator is very urgently necessary in the present World when Nuclear War is stepping in into our front door.

He Mr. Man Hee Lee & HWPL at least produce a shout either against debated and disputed corner and destroyer of the World Peace. Deliberately he has got hundreds of thousands of followers and peace lover campaigner supporting and assisting him to go further. Yes, miles to go. But not to worry, let’s go.

Display in the Stadium during Summit was enormous and outstanding. Seeing photo and watching video lot of viewers and colleagues praised the campaign. Most of them also expressed support to HWPL initiative and showed interest to work for HWPL.

Impact of 2018 summit is very positive amongst our viewer, Journalist and Media Forum Bangladesh. Some of our Journalist friend expresses interest to attend next year summit. Right after coming back from attending summit I am in a peaceful mood. I do admit that I have gained it right from the Peace Summit Incheon 2018 attended.

Nevertheless I think there’s lot to do either to boost and promote peace activity to achieve desired output and target. IPYG & IWPG is to play a vital role to promote peace. Once a roar for Peace and reunification of Korea is whistled in Korean Peninsula, no hindrance can protect or withheld peace campaign. It has already moved toward track. Especially IPYG has to strengthen activity holding Man Hee Lee’s hand tightly till target is achieved. Ensuring Youth roar in both South & North Korea reunification dream can be made possible in the day that is may not be far.

I did like word of IPYG director in the last session. Spirit and confidence in him to work further for peace was very good and worthy. I will never forget students standing by both side of the entering Road to Stadium. It brought tears in me. Performance of young blood encouraged me & I got desperate with a thought that no obstacle can hinder our wisdom of peace. In the last session, word from Zahidul Islam, Journalist from Bangladesh was useful and time befitting. A real story presentation by Jessica from HWPL Busan brach tears the audience including me. Speech from Romanian past President was very encouraging. His engagement with HWPL is certainly worthy.

Protocol Jessica looked after me appropriately. Her assistance kept me peace oriented throughout the summit & still I do breathe it.

Through inspired interaction we will make choices that will build a culture of peace, which fosters the well-being of our global community & territory. I do call upon peace loving and not loving people to flock together under the umbrella of peace which has been opened by Mr. Lee. From every corner and soil of the World Territory let us say “We are one”.
