About MAGP

Media Association for Global Peace(MAGP)

is an online-based peace platform. MAGP empathizes the importance of spreading the culture of peace, specializing in sharing various types of peace materials including peace news, information about peace-related events worldwide.
Exceeding national borders, ethnicities and religions, MAGP provides with opportunities to network with other media, peace organizations, specialist in different fields and citizens.

MAGP also seeks ways to guarantee freedom of information and freedom of press designated in international agreements including UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UN resolutions, the Declaration of Windhoek, UN Resolutions and the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (*DPCW) declared by HWPL.

(*DPCW was drafted by the HWPL International Law Peace Committee, which is comprised of international law experts from 15 different countries, and proclaimed on 14 March, 2016 in the form of a Preamble, 10 articles and 38 clauses.)

  • Peace-related news report to promote human rights of individual journalists and media organizations and protect democracy

  • Peace Journalism to spread the coverage of peace news globally, provide measures, plans, ideas and policy suggestions for conflict resolution and avoid biases with the tendency of war journalism focusing on covering violence

  • Sharing local, national and international trends and news on peace and stability

Peace Media Network

  • Strengthening a network of journalists around the globe

  • Promoting activities to enhance citizen awareness of peace such as peace education and related campaigns

  • Developing opinions based on perspectives and expertise of social representatives to provide and gain insights on peace
